RCA Presents: HUNG DANCE - BIRDY Repertoire
Led by LAI Hung-Chung and two other dancers from HUNG DANCE, the workshop demonstrates the techniques of HUNG DANCE’s movement vocabulary, focusing on the dynamic interplay between motion and stillness around the body. The technique combines body isolation with Tai Chi principles, where an action begins at a single joint or muscle while the rest of the body remains still. The body’s movements are then gradually activated by the spinning and spiraling elements of Tai Chi. This technique can be applied to all parts of the body to create a unique dialogue of dynamic flow within stillness.
