Neil Mercer is Emeritus Professor of Education at the University of Cambridge and Director of the study centre Oracy Cambridge at the Cambridge college Hughes Hall (of which he is also a Life Fellow).

Topsy Page is an Oracy Cambridge Associate and works with schools to develop a culture of high-quality dialogue and reasoning across the curriculum. She believes high-quality talk is a vital ingredient in narrowing the gap and improving outcomes.

In this Education Masterclass, Neil and Topsy will give an introduction to why oracy matters, understanding oracy skills, making group work productive, oracy across the curriculum and inclusion and implementation.
