Quality Control NCR/HOLD Process
This training session is intended for Production Leads and Supervisors and will cover the requirements and responsibilities related to the identification, control, and disposition of nonconforming material in accordance with SP13-01.
Topics Covered:
  • HOLD Tag requirements and proper completion
  • When and how to place material on HOLD
  • NCR (Nonconformance Report) process overview
  • NCR HOLD Area requirements
  • Documentation expectations and recording actual issues
  • Roles and responsibilities of Production, Quality, and Leadership
  • Material disposition process (Approved for Use, Deviation, Rework, Repair, Return to Vendor, Scrap)
  • Green Release Tags and authorized release personnel
  • Customer risk considerations and corrective actions
  • Golden Rule: See It • Tag It • Hold It • Don't Assume It
Training Objective: Ensure Leads and Supervisors understand the Nonconforming Product and Corrective Action process, can properly identify and segregate suspect material, complete HOLD Tag documentation accurately, and support compliance with Modine Franklin Quality Management System requirements.
