Level 2 - Early STEM Robotics

Wednesday, 4:30 - 6:00 PM CST

Hands-on projects using the VEX Robotics platform.

VEX GO harnesses children's natural curiosity by providing a platform that encourages young students to investigate, tinker, explore, learn from mistakes, and try again. This approach fosters critical learning at an age when young minds are still open to their full potential, laying the foundation for their future development.

Course Goals:

  • Design and Build: Students will learn to design robotic projects, ranging from simple to more complex builds. They will work with components such as motors, gears, and sensors to understand the mechanics behind their designs.
  • Programming Skills: The course will introduce students to programming concepts, allowing them to write code to control their robotic creations. This hands-on programming experience will help them engage with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in a practical way.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Through the design and programming process, students will develop essential logic and problem-solving abilities. They will work on challenges and learn to think critically to find effective solutions, enhancing their analytical skills.

By the end of the course, students will have a deeper understanding of engineering concepts and programming, and the confidence to tackle complex problems creatively and collaboratively.
