Join Peer Training and Outreach Services as we explore the definition and meaning of informed consent. We will review some of the many Informed Consent forms associated with this critical process and learn the potential impact signing these forms has on the individuals we serve. Participants will learn what information must be given by whom before the client should sign the form. Participants will develop a greater understanding of crucial aspects of Informed Consent, especially as it relates to treatment, confidentiality and governing laws. We will also discuss advocacy, from a Peer perspective, with regard to Informed Consent. 

This course is worth 2 ethics credits.
