Alpha One Firearms Training

The Alpha Pistol Level 2 course is designed for shooters who already understand the basic fundamentals of handgun operation and are ready to improve efficiency, consistency, and confidence. This live-fire course develops safe and efficient draw mechanics, improves reload performance, introduces time management through the use of a shot timer, and reinforces marksmanship under mild stress. Students will learn to perform the essential skills necessary to safely and effectively deploy a handgun for defensive purposes.

Live-Fire, and Qualification will be at:

Private Tactical Range Located inside Florida Gun Center

Student Requirements

Students must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have completed Alpha Pistol Level 1 or possess equivalent handgun experience.
• Demonstrate safe firearms handling skills.
• Possess a quality handgun in good working order.
• Bring:
  • Handgun
  • Strong-side holster (inside or outside waistband) , Appendix holster
  • Minimum three magazines
  • Magazine carrier recommended
  • Eye protection
  • Electronic Hearing protection
  • Concealment garment (recommended)
  • 300 rounds of ammunition
  • Baseball cap recommended
  • Closed-toe shoes

Course Length

1 Day ( Course will be split into Classroom, Sim Training, And Live Fire)

Skills Learned

Safety and Draw Fundamentals

• Holster safety principles
• Efficient draw stroke
• Presentation to target
• Safe re-holstering procedures

Reloading Skills

• Emergency reloads
• Tactical reloads
• Reload efficiency drills

Malfunction Management

• Tap-Rack immediate action
• Stoppage recognition
• Return to the fight procedures

Shooting Fundamentals

• Controlled pairs
• Cadence control
• Accuracy at 7–10 yards
• Dominant-hand-only shooting
• Introduction to non-dominant-hand shooting

Performance Development

• Introduction to shot timer
• Time management
• Consistency under mild stress
• Performance assessment

Final Assessment

Students must demonstrate:

• Safe gun handling
• Efficient draw and presentation
• Reload proficiency
• Basic malfunction clearance
• Accuracy and consistency standards
