Welcome to Lambs Week 2026, our annual August bank Holiday weekend celebration of the sailing community in Galway Bay and surrounding areas. In this annual get-together we explore the great cruising grounds on our doorstep, connect with old friends and see if our sailing skills have improved as we navigate the Galway coastline.
Friday, July 31st – Arrival & Welcome (Rosaveal Marina)
- Arrival: Gather at Rosaveal Marina throughout the afternoon.
- Dinner: Catered meal at the new marina building with drinks sponsored by Galway Maritime
- Evening: Post-dinner antics aboard boats
Saturday, August 1st – Rosaveal to Cill Chiaráin
- Sailing Options:
- Short route: Ideal for a relaxed sail or if weather conditions are uncertain.
- Long route: For those seeking more time on the water, weather permitting.
- Mooring: Anchor off Cill Chiaráin.
- Dinner: Space will be reserved in Coyne’s Pub (staggered groups to accommodate numbers).
- Transport: Dinghies will be the primary means of getting to/from shore.
- Evening: Drinks and socializing at Coyne’s.
Sunday, August 2nd – Cill Chiaráin to Kilronan (Inis Mór)
- Sailing Options:
- Direct route: Straight to Kilronan.
- Scenic route: Around the back of the island, through Gregory Sound.
- Dinner: No organized dinner—cook on board or choose your own adventure.
- Evening: Informal meetup at a local pub.
Monday, August 3rd – Return Home
- Departure: Head back to home ports at your own pace.
Registration fee includes berthing where applicable, logistical support and our annual donation to the RNLI.
Per previous years the dinner at Rosaveal will have an additional per head cost. We will communicate that once we have a better idea of numbers
