Course Overview:

This foundational course serves as an essential gateway to the Classical Tibetan language. Tailored for those beginning their studies from the ground up, the curriculum approaches the language through a systematic introduction to the Tibetan script, fundamental grammatical structures, and core vocabulary.

This course is ideal for students, scholars, and enthusiasts of Tibetan literature who wish to deepen their understanding of classical Tibetan texts and enhance their reading skills.

Prerequisites:

Absolutely none. No prior knowledge of the Tibetan script or language is required. All you need is an open mind and a desire to learn!

Format and Teaching Methodology:

The course will be conducted online via Zoom, allowing for interactive sessions, group discussions, and personalized feedback. Students will benefit from a collaborative learning environment where they can share insights and ask questions in real-time.

Classes are held on Saturdays, starting August 15, 2026. There will be a total of 12 classes.
