Welcome to OSUD’s Podorozh! Programme Registration for 2026-2027!

The Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance provides dance training to students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. Podorozh! classes are designed for adults 18 years of age and up.

The School’s motto is “Ukrainian dance for all!”

Classes are designed to encourage students to work to their full potential. OSUD’s faculty is comprised of experienced, professionally-trained teachers dedicated to providing caring and quality instruction. OSUD carries strong commitment to the creativity and discipline of dance, as well as to the development of original choreography.

Classes are held in the professional studios of The School of Dance at 200 Crichton Street, Ottawa.

Performing Classes

Podorozh! Intro to Ukrainian Dance + Choreography

This class is for adults with 0 to 2 years of previous dance training. Class activities include warm-ups, Ukrainian dance technique, sequences, and choreography. Students participate in the December Winter Celebration and the School's year-end concert.

Podorozh! Intermediate + Choreography

This class is for adults with between 2 and 5 years of recent dance training. Warm-ups and centre work build on basic Ukrainian dance technique and introduce different styles and longer sequences. Students participate in the December Winter Celebration and the School's year-end concert.

Podorozh! Experienced + Choreography

This class is for adults with 5+ years of recent, structured dance training. Challenging and exciting classes focus on warm-ups, Ukrainian dance technique, and choreography. Students participate in the December Winter Celebration and the School's year-end concert.

Podorozh! Performance Group

Students have the opportunity to heighten their participation in the excitement of Ukrainian dance culture by learning additional choreography and engaging in further performance opportunities. Open to students registered in any Podorozh! performing class.

Non-Performing Classes

Podorozh! Intro to Ukrainian Dance

This class is for adults with 0 to 2 years of previous dance training. Class activities include warm-ups, Ukrainian dance technique, sequences, and a cool-down. Central and regional character and movements are explored.

Podorozh! Intermediate

​This class is for adults with between 2 and 5 years of recent dance training. Warm-ups and centre work build on basic Ukrainian dance technique and introduce different styles and longer sequences.

Podorozh! Experienced

This class is for adults with 5+ years of recent, structured dance training. Challenging and exciting classes focus on warm-ups, Ukrainian dance technique, and sequences.
