Navigating and Managing Change in the Workplace
Change is an inevitable part of every organization, but how we understand, communicate, and respond to change can significantly impact employees, teams, and the people we serve. Organizational changes—whether related to new processes, technology, leadership, programs, policies, or workplace expectations—can create uncertainty and resistance when they are not effectively understood and managed.
This interactive training will help participants better understand the human side of change and develop practical strategies for navigating workplace transitions successfully. Participants will explore the connection between effective change management and organizational well-being, including how poorly managed change can contribute to burnout, turnover, resistance, and service disruption.
The training will introduce practical change-management concepts, including the ADKAR framework, and use discussion, realistic scenarios, case studies, and hands-on activities to help participants understand why change efforts can become stalled and how individuals and teams can move through change more effectively. Participants will also explore strategies for managing resistance, strengthening communication, and supporting successful and sustainable transitions.
This training is relevant to employees across all departments and roles; however, sessions will be tailored by audience:
- Leadership/Department Heads: A dedicated session focused on leading teams through change, communicating effectively during transitions, managing resistance, and supporting successful implementation.
- Non-Leadership Staff: Two sessions focused on understanding and navigating workplace change, adapting to transitions, communicating concerns constructively, and identifying strategies for moving through change successfully.
