This six-week watercolor course uses landscape painting to introduce the concepts that help artists see, understand, and paint the world around them. Through a series of guided studies, you’ll explore value, shape, edges, color, and composition while developing a stronger understanding of how these elements work together to create stronger paintings.
Each class combines demonstration, discussion, and painting time, giving you the opportunity to apply new ideas as you work. The course emphasizes understanding the concepts behind watercolor painting over imitation, so you can continue developing your own work beyond the classroom.
