Adult True Beginner Spanish (12 classes)
This class is true beginner Spanish course. Please do not register for this class if you have previous exposure to Spanish (even if it was a long time ago). From the instructor: "In this course, you will begin to cultivate your Spanish language identity by mastering these communication skills: formal and informal introductions, asking and answering questions, scheduling meetings, and making plans. You will also learn how to maximize your efforts using media and technology to improve your skills."
Our classes are designed around the dynamic, research-based communicative language teaching approach, which allows you to learn language through exposure to and use of language in a relaxed, authentic environment. This is in contrast to more traditional models, which focus more heavily on grammar and vocabulary lists. As a student in our classes, be prepared to listen, speak, read, write, interact, and practice using the language as you build your skills and grow confidence.
