• Gesture drawing - exploring movement, rhythm and expressiveness
• Shading and value - using light and dark to create form, depth and dimension
• Perspective basics - making sense of space

What makes this class different?

• All materials provided—just bring yourself and a willingness to experiment.
• Emphasis on fun, play and experimentation, rooted in traditional techniques
• Exploration of different drawing media - including graphite, charcoal, markers, etc.
• Small class sizes - classes limited to 3 to 10 students

About Your Instructor:
Janet is an artist and teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She loves to inspire a love of art in others - helping you embrace the creative process and giving you the tools to bring your vision to life. She believes in the power of drawing as a tool for so many things - communication, relaxation, self-exploration and just plain silly fun. Ages 16+ welcome.

Cancellation policy:
We know life can be unpredictable and we want to be as flexible as we reasonably can. Cancellations made more than 2 weeks before the first class will be fully refunded, no questions asked. Within 2 weeks of the first class no refund is given, but you're welcome to transfer your spot to a friend. Credit towards a future class will be offered if we are able to fill your spot prior to class beginning. After the class has begun, we're unable to offer refunds or credits for missed sessions. If we cancel a class for any reason, including low enrollment, you'll receive a full refund regardless of when the cancellation occurs. For extenuating circumstances, please reach out - we'll do our best to work something out.
