Most programs teach kids to follow instructions. This one teaches them to make decisions.
The Atelier is a 12-week incubator design experience for emerging fashion artists who are ready to work like the real thing. Emerging Fashion Designers develop a collection through the full design process — concept, patternmaking, draping, pleating, and construction — in a boutique studio environment with a maximum of 6 participants. The work is rigorous. The community is tight. The result is something they built themselves, from nothing.
This is not a class where you copy what the teacher makes. This is a studio where you figure out what you make — and then make it beautifully.
What your child will learn: Full fashion design process from concept to construction · Patternmaking, draping, pleating, and garment construction · Creative voice and independent aesthetic development · How to present and stand behind their own work
Atelier designers have the opportunity to showcase their Fall collection at the Clintonville Candlelight Luncheon Fashion Show — December 2, 2026 and beyond.
Returning students and new students are both welcome.
