Learning the Language of Partner Dancing

Now that you've built a strong foundation, it's time to discover what makes salsa one of the most enjoyable and social dances in the world.

Salsa Connection is the second level of the Pasito Adult Salsa Program. This 7-week course introduces the fundamentals of partner dancing by teaching the principles of leading and following while developing trust, communication and connection on the dance floor.

Building on the timing, rhythm and footwork learned in Salsa Foundations, you'll begin dancing with a partner while learning that great partner dancing isn't about memorizing patterns—it's about communicating through movement.

You'll discover how connection, timing and technique work together to create dancing that feels comfortable, natural and enjoyable for both partners.

No partner is required. Partners rotate throughout class, giving everyone the opportunity to build confidence dancing with different people in a welcoming, encouraging and supportive environment.

Throughout this session, you'll develop:

• Proper dance frame and posture
• Leading and following principles
• Closed and open dance positions
• Partner connection and communication
• Timing and musicality
• Right Turn
• Left Turn (Boomerang)
• Cross Body Lead
• Reverse Cross Body Lead
• Social dance etiquette
• Confidence dancing with a partner
