Iranian Dance – Beginner Students, Ages 7+

This class is designed for beginner students ages 7+ with little or no previous experience in Iranian dance. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of Iranian dance in a fun, encouraging, and supportive environment.

Through movement, choreography, music, and cultural traditions, dancers will develop coordination, rhythm, expression, confidence, and an appreciation for Iranian culture.

Highlights:

1. Technique: Students will learn foundational movements, coordination, and musicality while practicing basic steps and combinations inspired by Iranian dance.
   
   
2. Choreography: Students will learn age-appropriate choreographed pieces that help build confidence, expression, and performance skills.
   
   
3. Cultural Learning: Through music, costumes, props, and dance, students will be introduced to the rich traditions and culture of Iran.
   
   
4. Optional Performance Opportunity: Students will have the opportunity, but are not required, to perform as a group during the ICF Yalda Celebration in December.
   
   
5. What to Bring: Flexible dance shoes and comfortable attire that allows for movement.
