Layer&Play: 6-Week Mixed Media Masterclass with Anita Kroó

6 sessions x 3 hours | All Levels Welcome

About the class

Embark on a six-week premium mixed-media course at Kwassie Art Studio, designed to welcome complete beginners while offering plenty of inspiration for those with some creative experience. Led by award-winning artist Anita Kroo, who studied at the renowned Pratt Institute in New York, this immersive programme combines professional artistic practice with accessible, step-by-step teaching in an intimate group of just eight participants.

Across six weekly three-hour sessions, you'll build strong artistic foundations while exploring six essential mixed-media techniques: expressive graphite and charcoal drawing, ink, watercolour, oil pastel and collage. Each session is thoughtfully structured to develop your confidence, technical skills and creative voice through demonstrations, guided exercises, playful experimentation and personalised feedback.

Working exclusively with high-quality professional art materials, you'll create a substantial body of finished work while learning techniques and creative approaches that will continue to support your practice long after the course ends.

More than a series of workshops, this is an investment in your artistic development. You'll leave with a portfolio of completed artworks, a solid foundation in mixed-media techniques, greater creative confidence and the knowledge and skills to continue your creative journey independently.
