Transfer event for October

If you know that you are unable to attend a future meeting at your home group we are offering members the option to swap and attend a meeting at a different location. In line with our Terms and Conditions you may only swap to a different group within the same month. Sessions cannot be carried over or banked. It's important that you register yourself as a transfer to the group that you wish to attend instead of your home group. You will then show up on a register at that group and the hosts will know to expect you.

Please check the activities carefully as not all groups do the same activity each month due to tutor availability.

If you register within 24 hours of the event your name may not appear on the register, please bring a copy of your registration.

At our October session we roll up our sleeves for a relaxing and creative mosaic workshop! In this hands-on session you will either design and create your very own Christmas decoration or a personalised mosaic house number to take pride of place at home. Whether you are a complete beginner or have tried mosaics before, you’ll be guided through the process from start to finish.

You will learn how to safely use mosaic cutting tools to shape tiles, before arranging them into your unique design. Feel free to make your project completely personal by bringing along broken china, pottery, beads, sea glass or other special treasures you’d like to incorporate into your mosaic.

All materials, tools and tuition are included, and you’ll be given a bag of grout to take home, allowing your masterpiece to dry before completing the final stage at home. It’s a wonderfully mindful way to spend a few hours, and you’ll leave with a beautiful handmade keepsake or gift to treasure for years to come.

Suitable for beginners. Please note that cutting tools will be used during this workshop, so care should be taken throughout the session. Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to get creative!

Our session includes tea and coffee, it would be great if you could bring along cake or something sweet to share with members for our cake table.
