🎃 Two-Part Clay Pumpkin Workshop with FJ Pottery 🎃

Get ready for autumn with a fantastic two-session pottery workshop, where you’ll create your very own ceramic pumpkin from scratch!

We’ll be joined by local potters Fay and Joe from FJ Pottery, who will guide you through the whole process. Don’t worry if you’ve never worked with clay before – complete beginners are very welcome!

🎃 Session One – Make Your Pumpkin

Fay and Joe will introduce you to the basics of working with clay, showing you how to shape and work with it before guiding you through constructing your very own pumpkin.

Then comes the fun part – making it your own! Add whatever details and decorations you like. Go traditional, spooky, funny, quirky or completely unique – your pumpkin, your design!

At the end of the session, FJ Pottery will carefully take your creation away to be dried and fired in the kiln, ready for you to continue two weeks later.

🎨 Session Two – Bring It to Life!

When you return for your second session, you’ll get to see your fired pumpkin for the first time!

You’ll then learn how to use specialist ceramic glazes and paints to completely transform your piece. This is your chance to add colour, character and all those finishing touches that will really bring your pumpkin to life.

Once you’ve finished painting, FJ Pottery will take your pumpkin away once more for its final kiln firing, which sets the ceramic colours and gives your finished piece its final look.

Your completed pumpkin will then be returned ready for collection the following week. 🎃❤️

No previous pottery experience is needed. Just come along ready to get your hands dirty, learn something new and have some fun. You’ll end up with a completely unique, handmade ceramic pumpkin that you can bring out and enjoy autumn after autumn!

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING

This is a two-part workshop and you MUST be available to attend BOTH Tuesday 15th and Tuesday 29th September. The £70 fee covers both sessions.

The workshop is for ages 14+. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Both the young person and accompanying adult need to book and pay for a place, so two spaces will need to be purchased.

We’re deliberately keeping this to a small class size, giving everyone plenty of opportunity for guidance and support from Fay and Joe. This means spaces are very limited.
