Tue 11:00-12:00 - 230TC TAI CHI PRACTICE FOR BALANCE
TAI CHI PRACTICE FOR BALANCE: Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese exercise and method of movement that consists of learning and practicing specific solo forms and movement sequences for improved strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation. Emphasis is placed on mental focus by performing slow, controlled and flowing motion combined with coordinated breathing to develop balanced motion with a minimum of effort. These motions may be performed in seated, standing, and dynamic positions with benefits occurring at either of these levels. Lenora Corbett has been a registered physical therapist since 1977 and has recently completed a Tai Chi certification. She provides occasional work coverage in outpatient orthopedics and balance training. (NOTE – no class on September 29th).
