Service Day: Pine Junction District Office
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, CORE Electric Cooperative and Fire Adapted Park County are teaming up to help local residents with home ignition zone clean-up efforts.
Fire Adapted Park County has identified several homes that could use assistance preparing their properties for potential wildfire threats. Volunteer activities may include:
- Raking and removing pine needles and other flammable debris within a 5-foot radius of homes and decks
- Disposing of slash from thinned trees and shrubs
- Removing flammable vegetation within 10 feet of woodpiles and propane tanks
Bring the whole family and spend the morning making a difference in your community! Age-appropriate children are welcome and encouraged to participate alongside their parent or guardian.
To help us plan accurately, every attendee must register, including children. A Release and Liability Waiver must also be completed by each participant at check-in on the day of the event.
All registered participants will receive a complimentary Service Day T-shirt, available for pickup on the morning of October 3.
Following the project, lunch will be available at McGraw Park. We hope you'll join us for a rewarding day of service and community impact!
