Galway Bay Sailing Club

Join us at Galway Bay Sailing Club for Brunch in Pink, a special “Try Sailing” event for women supporting Breast Cancer Research.

Enjoy a relaxed sail around Galway Bay aboard one of our members’ cruising yachts, followed by a delicious brunch in the clubhouse.

This friendly and welcoming event is open to all women. No previous sailing experience is required, and experienced club members will be on board throughout the sail.

Event Details

• Arrival and welcome: 10:00am
• Sailing on Galway Bay
• Brunch in the clubhouse 1:30pm
• Cost: €30 per person

Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

This event is part of the Irish Sailing “Women on Water” initiative.

🦺 Equipment

GBSC provides lifejackets if required.

If you own a lifejacket, we recommend bringing it along for your own comfort and familiarity.

👟 Footwear

For safety reasons, the following footwear is not permitted:

❌ Sandals
❌ Flip-flops
❌ Crocs
❌ Open-toed shoes

💍 Jewellery / Glasses

For safety reasons, we recommend removing:

  • Watches

Jewellery can become entangled, damaged, or lost during activities.

These items can become lost, damaged or entangled during activities.

 If you need to wear glasses / sun glasses on the water we recommend you use a glasses retainer strap.

🎒 What to Bring

Please bring:

✅ Lifejacket (if you have one)
✅ Sunscreen
✅ Hat and sunglasses
✅ Sailing gloves (if available)
✅ Warm clothing and a change of dry clothes
✅ Waterproof jacket (recommended)
