Chair Dance

By: Dance Vision Foundation

The Dance Vision Foundation, believes everyone deserves the joy of dancing — and they're bringing it to the Susi Q Center. This class has gentle, joyful movement seated in a chair enjoying music you know and love. This is one of the most powerful things you can do for your brain — it activates memory, emotion, and rhythm all at once. Dancing is widely recognized as the number one exercise for brain health and mental well-being, shown to benefit people living with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and dementia, and to help delay the onset of cognitive decline. It's also been proven more effective than medication for managing anxiety, depression, and stress. Along the way, participants naturally improve their balance, coordination, muscle strength, and spatial awareness — and build a warm, welcoming community in the process.

Class Requirements:

Participants should wear sneakers, preferably cross-trainers that do not stick to the floor. It is also recommended to bring water to stay hydrated during the workout.
