David Warren received this Ph.D. in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication from Wayne State University (Detroit Michigan) in 1969. He was a professor of Speech Communication for over 40 years at a number of community colleges and universities throughout the United States before retiring in 2010. He has taught Nonviolent Communication, aka Compassionate Communication, for the past 15 years.
