TERM 4 has arrived!

This class is only for students at OLPS West Pymble

Learn to act, create and perform. Develop creativity, confidence and collaboration through drama. 

Every week, students work with a professional Teaching Artist to build acting, performance and creative skills, whilst also developing a deeper understanding of the world and of themselves.

No prior experience necessary.

K-4 class focus is: Creating a scene for our Christmas Story End of Year Showcase!

As well as working towards something brilliant, let’s not forget the skills they will learn together!

• Understanding basic elements of drama and how stories come to life onstage
• Using creative and investigative thinking to build characters and scenes
• Building emotional awareness and empathy by exploring feelings through characters and stories
• Strengthening imagination through creative play and improvised storytelling
• Learning to work as a team by listening, taking turns, and supporting classmates during play and performance
• Developing confidence and stage presence by practising being seen, being heard, and sharing ideas boldly
• Using voice and body with confidence (including diction, projection, spacial awareness and expressive movement)

Class Details

DAY:       Wednesdays, 7:45-8:45am, one class a week

LOCATION: OLPS, Pymble, Sydney - this class is only for students attending this school.

AGE GROUP:   Students in Years K-4 in 2026

TRIAL CLASS:   Available for the first 2 weeks of term

End of Year Showcase

It’s that time when your child will be working towards our end of year showcase! MSTYP will be bringing together all of our drama classes for an end of year sharing to showcase our wonderful young people!

DATE: Sunday 13th December

LOCATION: East Lindfield Community Hall

9 Wellington Rd, East Lindfield NSW 2070

TIME: More details will be released nearer the time once you enrol

NOT AVAILABLE AT THE TIME?

Don't worry! You can still enrol - our experienced Teaching Artists will ensure your young person will build the skills ready to perform, even though they won't be present for the actual performance, and performance preparation will only take up a small portion of the class.
