Location: Room #3 at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center

Description

This class will teach the fundamentals of wet felting with wool.

In this class, you will

• Learn how to wet-felt around a resist using wool and other fibers around a plastic egg
• See a demo of how to cut open a felted egg and discuss options for further embellishment including a needle felting demo
• Create 3-5 Easter eggs

If you wish to purchase kits to make additional eggs or a felting needle, please indicate so in the registration form.

No experience required.

Students will provide

• Hand or bath towels (1-2)
• 2 bowls for water around the size/shape of a cool whip container
• Spray bottle, ball brause sprinkler, or dish detergent bottle for sprinkling water
• Tray or baking sheet with lip (cafeteria tray size)

Optional:

• 1-2 knee high stockings
• bamboo mat (place mat or smaller)

Bring a snack if you would like. Access to a refrigerator and microwave are available in the building.
