FY27 Domestic Violence Policy Briefing: Priorities for Chicago Alderpeople & Staff
The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence invites Chicago Alderpeople and their staff to an hour-long virtual policy briefing led by our Policy, Advocacy, and Research team. The session will provide a high-level overview of domestic violence and its far-reaching impact on Chicago communities, including housing instability, public safety, economic security, and the well-being of children and families.
We will also share The Network’s FY27 Chicago budget priorities, with a focus on strengthening survivor housing, cash assistance, legal aid and advocacy, along with sustaining community-based services. The briefing will highlight opportunities for city leadership to strengthen prevention, improve access to critical supports, promote survivor safety and stability, and reduce the broader social and economic costs of domestic violence in our communities.
