FY27 Domestic Violence Policy Briefing: Priorities for County Commissioners & Staff

The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence invites Cook County Commissioners and their staff to an hour-long virtual policy briefing led by our Policy, Advocacy, and Research team. The session will provide a high-level overview of domestic violence and its far-reaching impact on Cook County, including housing instability, public safety, economic security, and the well-being of children and families.

We will also share The Network’s FY27 Cook County budget priorities, with a focus on strengthening survivor housing, cash assistance, legal aid and advocacy, along with expanding community-based services in the south suburbs. The briefing will highlight opportunities for county leadership to strengthen prevention, improve access to critical supports, promote survivor safety and stability, and reduce the broader social and economic costs of domestic violence in our communities.
