Pre-requisite: One fused glass open studio or previous fused glass class.

Join instructor Janis Peery for a hands-on workshop where you’ll explore a variety of fused glass techniques to bring depth, texture, and life to your own mountain landscape.

You’ll learn how to work with multiple layers of glass and glass powders to create dimension and perspective, including blending powdered glass to create the soft, atmospheric look of distant mountains. You’ll also discover how to use powdered glass with stencils and incorporate glass paint to add fine details and enhance your mountain scene. We will also discuss framing options with an Ikea picture frame that you can purchase online after the class and other options to hang your glass on the wall or display it on a table.

Whether you envision a peaceful Alleghany Mountain vista or a more dramatic and dynamic composition, this class will give you the techniques and confidence to bring your vision to life. Janis will provide step-by-step instruction, helpful design tips, and plenty of creative encouragement throughout the process.

This class is perfect for experienced students looking to expand their fused glass skills. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created a one-of-a-kind fused glass mountain landscape that beautifully reflects your own personal style and creativity.
