Bird Walk + Museum Exhibit Tour
Curious about the birds you see on campus? Ever wanted to try birding? Please join the Faculty Hub, University Museums, and Priscilla Erickson (Assistant Professor of Biology) for a bird walk and tour of the exhibit, Shubigi Rao: All Our Elephants Are in Rooms.
We will meet at the trailhead of the Eco-Corridor at 8:30 a.m. (entrance off of UR Drive - see location via Google maps) and spend an hour learning about birding and identifying the types of birds we spot along the path. Participants should expect to walk about a mile on a paved pathway. Binoculars are encouraged, but not required. No birding experience necessary.
We’ll end our birding adventure at the Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art for refreshments and a tour of the exhibit, Shubigi Rao: All Our Elephants Are in Rooms – an exhibit that asks us to shift our "focus beyond human agency to explore how we make sense of the natural world..."
If you arrive after 8:30, you can find us along the eco-corridor path. (It's also okay if you'd like to skip the birding and just come for the museum exhibit!)
