$20 of the fee is to pay your range fee at Bandera Gun Club.

This is the proficiency test for LEOSA: If you pass, you will receive the certificate to submit to your agency.

We shoot 50 rounds from 15, 7, and 3 yards. You'll need at least 5 rounds of duty ammunition

LEOSA Proficiency Requirements:

• Firearms proficiency requirements as established in Commission Rule §218.9 (c)(1) under the following conditions:
• (1) B-27 or similar silhouette target;
• (2) Combat scoring;
• (3) A minimum of 50 rounds, including at least five rounds of duty ammunition;
• (4) Fired at ranges from point blank to at least 15 yards with a least 20 rounds at or beyond seven yards;
• (5) Including at least one timed reload; and

(6) Minimum passing percentage of 70 (175 out of a possible 250 for 50 rounds).

What to bring:

• Your handgun. 
• A belt holster made to fit your particular handgun, that protects the trigger guard and does not collapse when the gun is withdrawn. In front of or near hip position only. Please, no trigger finger activated retention holsters (SERPA-type), please. Contact me for any questions.
• 50-100 rounds of ammunition.
• At least 2 magazines.
• If possible, 1 mag pouch for your belt.
• If you have your own shooting glasses and hearing protection, please bring them. If not, let me know to provide loaners.

What to wear:

• A sturdy belt.
• A shirt with a snug collar
• A baseball cap or visor (to protect the gap at top of your eye protection)
• Closed-toe shoes (no sandals).
