Untangle Dance

Class Description

As the season shifts, I’m holding space for us to gather and move in a more personal way. I’m hosting a limited fall series at The Dance Centre—just 3 classes total (2 in September and 1 in October). Each session will run 45–50 minutes, keeping our group small (maximum 15 people) so we can cultivate a cozy, connected energy. Fall is all about shedding what we no longer need, re-centering, and restoring. This series is designed around that exact ritual. Come move, reconnect, and share this space with us.

Led by Margarida Macieira, this a 45-50 minute improvisational movement class is designed to help you untangle, unwind, and energize your body. Moving through different levels—standing, sitting, and lying down—you will focus on stretching, activating, coordinating, and mobilizing through sensory awareness. Emphasizing joy and freedom of movement, this class invites you to connect with rhythm, groove, and pleasure in a supportive, playful, and non-contact environment. Suitable for all movement levels!

Important Notes

• Studio available at 10am, class starts at 10:05am and runs to 10:55am.
• Age Requirement: Open to everyone aged 16 and older. No prior dance experience is necessary.
• What to Bring: Please bring comfortable clothing to move in and a water bottle to stay hydrated.
• Punctuality: Classes start promptly. Doors close at the start time, and latecomers cannot be accommodated. Please arrive 5 minutes early.

Registration & Policies

• Capacity: Maximum class size is 15 participants. Pre-registration is highly recommended to secure your spot.
• Cancellations & Refunds: You can modify or cancel your registration via the attendee self-serve page on Corsizio up to the day before the scheduled activity.
• Class Cancellations: Classes are subject to minimum registration. If the instructor needs to cancel, you will be notified up to 24 hours in advance and given the choice of a full refund or a class transfer.

Payment Methods

• E-Transfer (Preferred): Send payment to untangledance@gmail.com. Please register through the website first, select the "Pay Later" option, and include a note specifying which class you are attending.
• Cash: Select the "Skip online payment to pay later" option during checkout and bring exact change to class.
• Credit Card: If you are unable to use e-transfer or cash, you can book online via Stripe using a credit card.

Participant Liability & Release Agreement

By registering and participating in Margarida Macieira’s class, I understand and agree that there is a possibility of physical injury. I voluntarily assume all risks and responsibilities for any such injury, illness, or accident that might occur during class.

I hereby exempt, release, and indemnify Margarida Macieira, hosting venues, alternative instructors, volunteers, and assistants from any and all liability claims, demands, or causes of action arising from any damage, loss, injury, or death to myself or my property in connection with this activity. I further agree to waive my rights, and those of my heirs and assigns, to hold the aforementioned parties liable.
