NWA Annual Lumber & Tool Auction, September 12, 2026

The Lumber & Tool Auction is less than 3-Weeks away. The event will be held at The Shaker Museum Barn, 820 Heritage Ln., Colonie, NY 12211.  All NWA members and the general public are welcome to attend.

This is one of the two big fund raising events for NWA. Volunteers will be needed for the below listed dates and activities. Please sign-up at the attached link. 

9/9 (Wed): 9am-4pm:Barn Set Up

a.   Retrieve tables from the meeting house and set them up at the barn.

b.   Move items from storage to main auction floor.

c.   Identify, Stack, Measure, Label Lumber

d.   Place smaller (fixed price) items on tables

e.   Set up PA system

f.    Set-up Tables and chairs for Administrative Area

9/10 (Thu): This is a back up day. We will try to finish all setup on Wednesday, 9/9. You will be notified if volunteers are needed on Thursday.

9/12 (Sat) : Auction Day

Doors open for volunteers at 9:00 am.

Doors open for customers 10:00am for Fixed Price Sales and Auction Items Review.

Need two volunteers to work 1-hour shifts with Shaker people to direct traffic, 10-11 and 11-12 noon.

Auction Noon - 3:00:

1. On Auction Floor: Need 4 to 5 to help hold up items, record sales, handle labels for auctioneer, mark the buyer’s number on the remaining tag, etc.
2. Administrative Table: Two people at the sign-in table to assist registration and give out number cards.
