Chess Is Best Sunday Classes with Miss Stacia offer a fun, structured environment for students of all skill levels. Whether your child is brand new to chess or already competing in tournaments, each class includes engaging instruction, personalized coaching, practice games, take-home worksheets, progress check-ins, and fun prizes! All classes are designed to help students build confidence and improve.

At the end of the session, the players will have the opportunity to compete for trophies and will receive a chess medal, followed by a family-friendly awards celebration with refreshments. My goal is simple: inspire every child to enjoy chess, build real skills, and improve!

Intro to Chess for K-5

Learn all the rules and why chess is best!
1:00-2:00 PM EST

Intro to Chess is designed for learners who are brand new to chess or still learning all of the rules. In a fun and supportive setting, students will learn how the pieces move, the rules of the game, basic checkmates, good sportsmanship, and the skills needed to play a complete legal game of chess. Each class will have a chess theme we focus on. Students will build confidence through instruction, guided practice, and plenty of opportunities to play. We will end the session with a light competition and awards party!
