Each three-week workshop takes a deeper look at one essential area of improv through exercises, games, scene work, coaching, and lots of reps. Take one workshop, choose the ones that interest you, or take all three for the full nine-week experience.
Characters
Find the character. Explore different ways to create and develop characters through physicality, emotion, voice, status, point of view, and more - then put those choices to work in scenes.
Worldbuilding
Create the world. Explore environment, spacework, object work, and shared reality while discovering how the world around you can inspire choices and become an active part of the scene.
Relationships
Connect with your scene partners. Explore listening, emotion, status, history, and stakes to create stronger relationships - and discover how the connection between characters can drive the scenes.
Prerequisite: Improv 101 at CSz Richmond or another theater.
