Spring Retreat- Creativity for Well-being

Spring - Wood Element (Chinese Medicine)

Spring Retreat is one of the Seasonal Retreats Amanda offers to support wellbeing through creativity and connection. Spring is a time of blossoming, growth, movement and direction. This retreat is a treat for you. A day of deep rest and nourishment. Wood allows us the opportunity to focus on flexibility, movement and growth to support our wellbeing.

The day will include:
  • Taking space to contemplate, reflect, centre and honour the process of Spring.
  • Nourishing morning tea.
  • Create your own bespoke art pieces to support you to connect with your focus for this next stage.
  • Opportunity to create a Spring 'nest' using visual art and craft materials and found objects from nature to represent what you want to nurture and grow in this season.
In Chinese Medicine, Spring is the season associated with the element of Wood. The "5 elements in Chinese Medicine" is an ancient framework that will be woven into the workshop and will inform our processes and reflection. Water allows us the opportunity to focus on flow and introspection to support our wellbeing.

During the full day retreat you will be invited into a selection of Art Therapy reflective processes to support you to find meaning through art making. This retreat is facilitated by Amanda Scott, a masters qualified Creative Arts Therapist/ Arts Psychotherapist.

This retreat is for anyone who would benefit from time away from their normal routine, to receive nourishment, a space to reflect and create and is focussed on art making for well-being. There will be opportunities for group sharing however this is optional. If you are unsure if this retreat is suitable for you, please get in touch.
Venue is wheelchair accessible / has accessible toilets.
