LoneStar Handgun

Looking for more than a standard LTC class? Our Ultimate License to Carry Class offers a more personalized experience with a small group, additional hands-on handgun training, and everything you need to complete your Texas LTC training at LoneStar Handgun.

With a class size limited to just 8 students, the day begins at 9:30 AM with approximately two hours of live-fire handgun training focused on building confidence, improving marksmanship, and developing practical shooting skills. Training includes handgun fundamentals such as:

• Proper grip and stance
• Sight alignment and trigger control
• Malfunction drills
• Additional handgun skill development

After the morning training session, lunch is provided before moving into the classroom portion of your LTC training. You’ll complete the required classroom instruction and written exam covering Texas carry laws, the use of deadly force, handgun safety, non-violent dispute resolution, safe storage, and other important responsibilities of carrying a handgun.

Your shooting proficiency qualification is also included, allowing you to complete all required LTC training at LoneStar. Once you successfully complete your training, your qualified LTC instructor enters your training results directly into the current DPS system, RSD Connect.

IdentoGO fingerprinting is available onsite at LoneStar for added convenience. Fingerprinting is a separate step completed after you submit your LTC application through RSD Connect and receive your fingerprinting instructions.
