Domestic Violence Hotline Advocacy: Strengthening Knowledge & Practice

Domestic Violence Hotline Advocacy: Strengthening Knowledge & Practice is a virtual training designed for domestic violence hotline advocates who have previously completed a 40-hour domestic violence training.

This four-day training will revisit and update key domestic violence content through the lens of hotline advocacy, with a focus on the situations, questions, and challenges advocates encounter when supporting survivors by phone.

Topics will include safety planning and danger assessment, suicidality, anti-oppression, legal and systems issues, and supporting survivors across a range of identities and experiences. Participants will have opportunities to share perspectives, learn collaboratively, and connect training content to their day-to-day hotline work.

Training Dates: October 22, 23, 26 & 27, 2026
Time: TBD
Format: Virtual via Zoom

Who should attend: Domestic violence hotline advocates and other professionals providing hotline-based support who have previously completed a 40-hour domestic violence training.

Participants should plan to attend all four training days. LCSW, LSW, LCPC, and LPC CEUs are available upon completion of all sessions in the training. The Network does not issue ICDVP CEUs but will reimburse the petition fee for participants who choose to petition ICDVP for CEU approval.
