Do you want to learn how to diagnose and smoothen problem nibs? Learn how to fix simple problem and decide when to seek professional help. Learn from Nibworker Mr. Sunny Koh with hands-on instruction on pen maintenance, nib diagnostics and simple repairs and smoothing.
- Learn how a Pen and Nib works
- How to use a Loupe for diagnosing problems
- Understand the perfect nib geometry
- Testing the pen ink flow using the Japanese techniques
- Tine alignment and flow adjustment
- Nib smoothing using the Binderize Method
Alternate sessions on Friday, 1:45pm till 3:45pm and Saturday, 12:00pm till 3:00pm.
Students will be provided with a Jewellery Loupe (30X, 7X Real), a sample vial of Ink, Micromesh/Lapping Film, two pilot-style steel nibs (one misaligned), and a WingSung 3001A Pen as materials.
