French River Academie of Arts and Culture

A supportive space for writers at any stage of a fiction writing project to develop their work and deepen their craft. Each Lesson includes a mini-lesson about writing engaging scenes that contribute to plot and character development, followed by a facilitated group discussion centered on participants works-in-progress.

In this workshop, participants will:

• learn the craft of storytelling, connect character development to plot arcs, and create tension and curiousity to keep readers immersed
• learn about the essential elements of scenes that keep readers turning pages, with each scene functioning as its own short story
• refine writing through feedback
• build momentum on new or ongoing projects
