Jersey Children First Review and Consultation
Overview
Jersey's Children First promotes a child-centred, strengths-based and multi-agency approach to supporting children, young people and families. Practitioners are expected to provide the right help at the right time, work collaboratively, listen to the voice of the child, involve families in decision-making, and take appropriate action when concerns arise.
The framework aims to create a consistent and coordinated experience across services, ensuring that children receive the support they need as early as possible. We are undertaking a review of the framework, with the aim of refreshing and relaunching a multi-agency model that is jointly owned by partner organisations.
Our goal is to strengthen understanding and application of the principles across the safeguarding system, ensuring practitioners have the knowledge and confidence to incorporate them into their everyday practice.
To support this work, we invite you to join us for an in-person consultation event. This event will provide an opportunity to share your views and experiences, helping to shape the future development of the framework and how it is implemented across Jersey.
We anticipate a high level of interest, so early booking is encouraged. If you are no longer able to attend after registering, please cancel your place to allow another practitioner the opportunity to participate.
Event format: Three-hour face-to-face session
Arrival: Registration will open from 8.30am
