Everyday Heroes CPR Training is a ClassWallet vendor.
The American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED K–12 course is a hands-on, student-focused class designed to help young people feel confident responding in an emergency.
Students do more than just watch a video or listen to a lecture. Throughout the class, they practice real-life emergency response skills using CPR manikins, AED trainers, EpiPen trainers, first aid supplies, and other training equipment.
During the course, students learn how to:
- Recognize when someone needs help and know what to do first
- Perform high-quality CPR
- Use an AED
- Help someone who is choking
- Respond to severe bleeding and other common first aid emergencies
- Recognize signs of serious medical problems such as heart attack, stroke, shock, and breathing emergencies
- Practice using an EpiPen trainer
- Understand the Chain of Survival and the importance of calling 911 quickly
The class includes discussion, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and skills testing so students have multiple opportunities to see, understand, and perform the skills themselves.
Upon successful completion of the course and required skills testing, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver K–12 First Aid CPR AED course completion eCard, valid for two years.
