Coiling Baskets with Repurposed Textiles with Lora Bertolo
Course Overview: In this workshop, you'll learn the traditional craft of basket coiling with a contemporary twist using repurposed textiles. Participants will learn the fundamentals of coiling while experimenting with different materials and techniques to begin creating a two- or three-dimensional piece. Throughout the workshop, Lora will share tips and guidance to help you achieve the results you’re looking for while encouraging you to experiment and develop your own creative style. Depending on the size and complexity of your project, you may complete a small piece during the workshop or leave with the skills and knowledge to continue working on it at home.
All supplies will be provided. If you have a special garment or piece of fabric you would like to incorporate into your project, you are welcome to bring it with you.
