Arts Experience at Loyalist

Course Overview: Build your knowledge and confidence in drawing the human form in this introductory figure drawing course. Students will be encouraged to work loosely, quickly and without inhibition, developing the freedom to capture life through a single stroke or gesture. Through an exploration of balance, structure and proportion, students will develop a stronger understanding of the foundations of figure drawing. A series of gesture drawings, short poses, guided exercises and group discussion will help strengthen observational skills and introduce a more confident, expressive approach to putting pencil to paper.

• Wednesday, November 4: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Wednesday, November 11: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Wednesday, November 18: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Wednesday, November 25: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

• HST is not included in the listed price.
• This course takes place at the Belleville Campus: 376 Wallbridge Loyalist Rd, Belleville, ON K8N 5B9
• Campus information, including room number, parking, directions, etc., will be provided closer to the start date.
• A refund (less $20.00 administrative fee) will be issued if you withdraw from a class at least seven days before the start date of the class. After this deadline, no refunds will be issued.
• If a course is cancelled by Loyalist College, registered students will be provided with a full refund. College decisions to cancel a course will be made seven days before the course start date.
