Course Overview
The Orange County CCW Renewal Certification Course is designed for current California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit holders who are renewing their Orange County CCW permit. This 8-hour course satisfies Orange County Sheriff's Department renewal training requirements while reinforcing the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to responsibly carry a concealed firearm.

This course provides an opportunity to refresh critical skills, review current California law, and strengthen the mindset required to carry a firearm responsibly every day.

Student Expectations & Prerequisites
Students attending this course must possess a current California CCW permit and have experience safely handling and operating their firearm.
Students should bring:
- A valid California Driver License or Identification Card
- All firearms they intend to have listed on their CCW permit
- At least 100 rounds of ammunition for their primary firearm
- 50 rounds of ammunition for each additional firearm
- Eye and ear protection
- A sturdy belt and holster
- Water, snacks, and weather-appropriate clothing
Live-Fire Qualification
Students must successfully qualify with each firearm they wish to have listed on their permit.
Primary Firearm Qualification
- 3 Yards: 8 rounds
- 5 Yards: 8 rounds
- 7 Yards: 8 rounds
- Total: 24 rounds
Additional Firearms
- 3 Yards: 8 rounds
- 5 Yards: 8 rounds
- 7 Yards: 8 rounds
- Total: 24 rounds

Cancellation Policy
Students may cancel their registration up to 48 hours before the scheduled class to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the course, or failure to attend, are non-refundable.

Tom gives his undivided attention to every student making it more interactive and personal. I totally recommend “Not Today Defense” for gun and first aid training.
