Make Your Mark!: Carving Stamps for Your Signature and a Community Alphabet

Please join us to make small stamps carved from erasers. Carve a stamp for making your artist mark on your artworks and contribute a letter to a handmade artist alphabet for the Center. We will play with the art of lettering. Participants will design their initials or other artist mark, copy that image in reverse onto their future stamp, then carve out their image. The same process will be used for making letters for our communally built alphabet, which we will experiment with as a group and will be used in our open art programs. No previous printmaking experience necessary. This class does require handling sharp carving tools.

Supplies will be included.

Pre-registration is not required, but space is limited.

This class will be free, thanks to the South Haven Community Foundation and will be concurrent with Wednesday Adult Open Studio.
