Ready to get your hands in the clay? This four-week class is designed for beginners, while offering new projects and techniques for students who have taken our Intro to Clay before.

Never worked with clay? No problem. We’ll introduce you to the fundamentals of hand-building, surface decoration, and working with clay in a ceramic studio. If you’ve joined us for a previous Intro to Clay, this class gives you the opportunity to keep building your skills, try new techniques, and take your practice a little further.

We’ll explore a variety of hand-building techniques, surface decoration, and ways to shape and refine your work. Come ready to experiment, be challenged, and discover what you can make with clay.

Cost of recycled clay, use of tools and glazes are included with the class fee. Other types of clay are also available for purchase at the Supply Side.

Firings are included up to 300 cubic inches. Larger or additional pieces will cost .08 per cubic inch. 

We will not be able to offer make-up classes. Please note, this class is for adults ages 17 and up. 

Cancellations 15 days or more prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund minus a 5% processing fee. Cancellations up to 7 days prior will receive 50% back.

Cancellations made the week of the class will not be refunded.
