Hands-On Kool Aid Chromatography Activity with ECU Life Science & Biotechnology Department

Kool-Aid® chromatography workshop - where participants will separate different colored dyes in grape Kool-Aid® using column chromatography, a popular method used in research and industry to separate, isolate, and purify components of mixtures. If there is time, students will participate in an environmental monitoring workshop where they will check for contamination by plate swabbing.
Students will travel to ECU for this event.
This event can support up to 20 high school students.
