EPICS Program

Join Toronto 2030 District and Enspire Potential: Immersive Cleantech Studio (EPICS) for a practical, interactive session designed to help building owners, operators, property managers and retrofit professionals move from retrofit ambition to informed action.

The morning will begin with a 15-minute introduction to Toronto 2030 District and the Heat Pump Highway, a new online resource designed to help building owners and industry professionals navigate heat-pump planning, technology options and implementation. Participants will then take part in EPICS' immersive Retrofit Planning module, which uses interactive touch-wall technology, digital twins, data visualization and multimedia content to connect learning with real-world building scenarios.

The session will also feature a case study from Ecovert (A Member of BPA) grounding the discussion in practical experience and demonstrating how retrofit options can be assessed and translated into a project. The program will conclude with an opportunity to connect with peers and continue the conversation through informal networking.

Participants will

Enspire Potential: Immersive Cleantech Studio (EPICS) is a cutting-edge learning program launched recently by the BOMA Enspire Program. This free pilot project is open to cleantech project teams, sustainability professionals, building performance teams, and job seekers interested in cleantech and proptech careers in real estate.

EPICS experiential learning lessons replicate real-world operational and retrofit environments using 3D/VR/Digital Twin technology projected in our 15' x 15' BOMA Enspire Immersive Media Room with touch walls. Interactive facilitated sessions cover Retrofit Planning, Building Performance, Cleantech Career Pathways, and Smart Building Systems.
