🐑🐄 Clay Sculpting Workshop – Fancy Trying Something New?

This month, we're getting creative and trying something a little different...

Have you ever fancied having a go at sculpting? Maybe you’ve never worked with clay before, or perhaps it’s something you enjoyed years ago and would like to try again.

We’re inviting the men in our group to join us for a relaxed and informal air-dry clay workshop, where you’ll learn how to create your very own 3-dimensional farm animal – either a sheep or a cow!

Don’t worry if you’ve never sculpted before. You don’t need to be artistic or have any previous experience. You’ll be guided through the process step by step, learning some simple techniques to shape, build and bring your clay animal to life.

You’ll start with the basics of working with air-dry clay before getting stuck in and creating your own sculpture. There’s no pressure to create a perfect masterpiece – the idea is simply to have a go, learn something new and, most importantly, enjoy yourself.

🐑 What we'll be doing:

• Learning how to handle and shape air-dry clay
• Exploring simple sculpting techniques
• Building a 3-dimensional sheep or cow
• Adding details and personality to your creation
• Having a chat, a laugh and enjoying some creative time together

You’ll be able to take your sculpture home with you where it will dry, giving you something you’ve made yourself to be proud of.

Whether you’re curious about trying something creative, looking for a way to switch off for a couple of hours, or simply fancy doing something completely different, we’d love you to come along.

No artistic talent required – just bring yourself and an open mind!

This group is made possible thanks to Point North and the Enriching Later Lives Fund. The aim is to create a relaxed space where men can get together, try new hobbies, share a laugh, and maybe even discover a new passion to take into later life.

The group is still a blank canvas – we’ll continue shaping future sessions around the activities you’d like to try.

The group is free for men aged 40+.
